Project Unified was established to create safe and respectful environment for staff and students at La Trobe University. As Senior Violence Prevention and Repsonse Manager my core responsibility is to conduct a current state analysis of the university and develop a report and framework for La Trobe to enable the university to engage in primary prevention of violence, trauma-informed incident management and support. Core responsibilities and achievements included:

• Developing a report, recommendations and strategy for the Vice-Chancellor and Senior Executive on the current state of violence and best-practice research;

• Conducting best practice research on violence prevention and trauma informed support from the US, UK and Australia, including a research visit with the Durham University Sexual Violence Taskforce

• Conducting 46 interviews and focus groups with staff and students across five campuses to understand the current state

• Successfully implementing a Student Behaviours policy and procedure suite, including Responding to Violence

• Leading the development of key educational materials on violence and prevention, including trainings and workshops on ‘Responding to Disclosures’

• Representing La Trobe University through engagement with UK universities and attending the ‘Prevalent and Preventable Conference’ hosted by Our Watch, and ‘’Breakthrough: Gender Equality Conference’
